Parents of kids with special needs
This talk will discuss diagnosis and treatment of pediatric epilepsies, with a focus on new and emerging therapies. Current antiseizure medications for focal, generalized and symptomatic generalized epilepsies will be reviewed. Alternative, non-medication therapies, such as diet to surgery will also be reviewed. Finally, the importance of genetic diagnoses and potential opportunities for genetic therapies will be shared.
